Neptune’s Harvest is an organic fertilizer made from fresh North Atlantic fish. Neptune’s Harvest contains all the micro and macro nutrients naturally found in fish and is processed so they are readily available for plants. Unlike fish emulsions, Neptune’s Harvest retains the fish proteins and oils and has no unpleasant odor. University studies have shown Neptune’s Harvest to outperform chemical fertilizers. We carry a 2-4-1 fish fertilizer and a 2-3-1 fish/seaweed blend. Seaweed contains growth promoting hormones that enhance plant development, color and vigor. Both products are in a liquid concentrate form and come in quart, two quart, and gallon quantities.
Neptune’s Harvest Organic Kelp Meal is Ascophyllum nodosum, which is widely recognized as one of the finest marine plants available for agriculture. It is suitable for all crops and can be mixed with most soil conditioners, potting soils, and fertilizers. Kelp Meal contains minerals, carbohydrates, and amino acids. It will add organic matter to soil, help the soil retain moisture, and promote healthy root growth. Kelp Meal is a good mild organic fertilizer (1-0-2) that does not contain animal products.

Colorado’s Own fertilizer is formulated and produced in Colorado for Colorado’s climate and soils. Their formulations are not organic, but they do offer a great alternative national brand fertilizers. We carry several of Colorado’s Own products through out the year and highly recommend them for those gardeners not growing organically.
Jacks soluble fertilizer dissolves easily, will not burn foliage, and can be used to lower high pH found in local water supplies. We use Jacks fertilizer at our production greenhouses in Bayfield for growing annuals and perennials and have always had terrific results. We particularly like the pH control feature of Jacks. It lowers our irrigation water from a pH of 8 to a pH of 6, which greatly reduces leaf yellowing. Many of you may see yellow leaves in your gardens even though you use fertilizers and high pH is probably the problem.
High Yield products are produced by Fertilome but carry a more generic label and are priced accordingly. You get the same great Fertilome quality but at less cost. We carry many High Yield products and encourage you to use them, especially the simple fertilizers like bone meal, phosphate, and blood meal.
